SEE
Copenhagen is SPENDY, but honestly you're worth it, so #YOLO.
Louisiana Museum of Modern Art: Fantastic art museum that is home to the Instagram-famous Gleaming Lights Of The Souls mirror exhibit created by Yayoi Kusama.
Design Museum Denmark: An absolute must visit, especially if you're into Danish and mid-century design.
Tivoli Gardens: The second oldest amusement park in the world! Even if you don't want to buy tickets for the rides or play the classic amusement park games, a visit to Tivoli is still a fantastic experience and worth a stroll.
Nyhavn: Dine or grab an ice cream cone in Nyhavn, home of the beautiful colorful buildings as seen in the photo above.
Church of our Lady: Home to the original Christus statue.
SHOP
I love mid-century and Scandinavian design and was literally a kid in a candy shop visiting some of the most well-known design houses in the business! These shops are all located close to each other in the main shopping area:
And in exchange for letting you shop in peace, bribe the kids with a trip to the nearby LEGO store, a must visit since those little blocks originate from Denmark.
STAY
I highly recommend staying at the Scandic Hotel located a few blocks away from Nyhavn. Large, clean rooms at resonable-ish rates, and the breakfast is fantastic, too!
SAVOR
If you visit Copenhagen, you MUST make at least a few trips to Saint Peders Bageri, the oldest bakery in town, located just down the street from the Church of Our Lady. The pastries are all to die for but the cinnamon rolls are especially something remarkable.
